YES Padova 2018: Energy of the Future has ended. A heartfelt thanks to all those who partecipated and to those who made this fantastic event possible! See you next year 😉
YES Padova 2018: Energy of the Future is an event organised by YES – Italy together with YES Energy – Europe, Energy – Close-up Engineering and LEDS – L’Energia Degli Studenti, with the support of Centro Studi Levi Cases. Two days of lectures, workshops, meetings and debates. We will talk about energy and sustainability, in a friendly and challenging atmosphere.
On April 28th and 29th 2018 more than 80 students and young professionals from all over Italy gathered in Padua, to discuss the most burning energy and environmental issues in the sunny setting of the Fenice Green Energy Park. They presented their own projects, listened to the other students, researchers and workers, they got involved and told their personal vision on the future of energy. Fun and informal activities (the dinner, our Venetian aperitif – the spritz, quizzes and games, beer and improbable dances) alternated between more serious and productive moments, such as the energy business game and the final conference at the Teatro Ruzante. It was an opportunity to learn and meet other people with the same passion for the energy themes 🙂
Why was it Padova
Padova is a city rich in history and culture, home to one of the oldest universities in the world. Here Galileo Galilei thaught Physics at the time of his first astronomical observations, made with his telescope. And here, for the first time in the world, a woman, Elena Lucrezia Cornaro, graduated. Moreover, the University of Padova was one of the first ones to introduce an Energy Engineering course for the three-year degree, hosted at the Department of Industrial Engineering – which supported this event. And it is thanks to this that in 2012 LEDS – L’Energia Degli Studenti was born, an association of students of Energy Engineering, Energy Engineering and Electrical Engineering of the University of Padova, promoter and organizer of YES Padova 2018: Energy of Future.
